The Trust is seeking to appoint a CT1 Doctor post for 9 months from December 2011/January 2012– rotating between a 3 month respiratory post and a 6 month department of the elderly post. The post-holder will participate in a 30 person acute medical take rota.
ADMINISTRATIVE
To order diagnostics, complete patient notes, TTA’s and organise return visits to a specialist clinic within the trust (i.e.ENT/TIA clinic).
To expedite discharge with OPA investigation or follow up where safe.
TEACHING
The post-holder is encouraged to participate in the core medical training lectures hosted in our purpose built Medical Education Centre and Medical Education Training Suite (providing simulation and communication training). The post-holder is entitled to 10 days study leave per annum. The level of expertise gained in acute medicine would provide the post-holder with a varied and rounded experience to take forward into future roles.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice
- Evidence of current employment in a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme, OR
- 12 months experience after full GMC registration or equivalent and evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies between 31st July 2008 and 3rd August 2011 from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme
- Eligibility to work in UK
- Ability to provide complete employment history
- Evidence that career progression is consistent with personal circumstances
- Evidence that present achievement and performance is commensurate with totality of period training
